Sheli

Child Safety and Abuse Prevention Policy

Effective Date: January 22, 2025

At Sheli, the safety and well-being of our users, especially children, are of utmost importance. In compliance with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards and relevant laws, we have established the following policies and procedures to prevent and address any form of child exploitation, abuse, or endangerment on our platform.

1. Prohibited Behaviors and Content

Sheli strictly prohibits any content or behavior that facilitates, promotes, or tolerates child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including but not limited to:

– Inappropriate Interaction: Any predatory or inappropriate behavior targeting minors, such as groping, caressing, or attempting to establish sexual relationships.

– Child Grooming: Efforts to befriend minors online with the intent to exploit them sexually, either online or offline.

– Sexualization of Minors: Content or imagery that depicts or promotes the sexual abuse of children or presents children in a manner that could lead to their sexual exploitation.

Sextortion: Blackmailing or threatening minors by leveraging real or alleged access to their intimate images.

– Child Trafficking: Any form of advertising or solicitation of children for commercial sexual exploitation.

2. Community Standards

To ensure a safe and respectful environment, Sheli users must adhere to the following:

– No CSAE Content: Users are prohibited from creating, uploading, or distributing any content that facilitates the exploitation or abuse of children.

– Age Restrictions: Users must meet our minimum age requirement of 21 years to create an account.

– Reporting Obligations: Users are encouraged to report any suspected cases of CSAE through the in-app reporting tools or by contacting law enforcement directly.

3. Reporting and Response Mechanisms

Sheli provides an accessible, user-friendly in-app mechanism for reporting concerns, abuse, or violations. These tools allow users to:

– Report specific content, profiles, or messages.
– Flag instances of suspected CSAE or predatory behavior.
– Submit concerns anonymously, if preferred.

Upon receiving a report:
– Immediate Review: Our moderation team will review and investigate the content promptly.
– Actionable Response: Confirmed cases of CSAE will result in immediate removal of offending content, account termination, and reporting to relevant child safety organizations such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

4. Moderation and Enforcement

Sheli utilizes the following tools and processes to detect and prevent CSAE:

– Keyword and Behavioral Flagging: Our platform monitors specific keywords and behavioral patterns that may indicate grooming, trafficking, or other harmful activities. Alerts are triggered for moderation when flagged terms or suspicious interactions are detected.

– User Reporting Tools: We empower users to report concerns directly through in-app tools. Reports can include flagged profiles, messages, or content with clear categories for CSAE-specific issues.

– Age Verification Systems: During the account creation process, users must verify their age through reliable methods to ensure compliance with our 21+ age restriction.

– Content Filtering Technology: We employ filtering mechanisms to block explicit or harmful content at the point of upload, reducing the risk of CSAE material being shared on our platform.

5. Compliance with Child Safety Laws

Sheli complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

– Reporting confirmed CSAE cases to NCMEC or equivalent regional authorities.
– Cooperating fully with law enforcement investigations.
– Adopting best practices for child safety and abuse prevention.

6. Designated Child Safety Point of Contact

Sheli has appointed a dedicated Child Safety Representative to:
